TWC Bin Restored

In mid-July, canyon residents were shocked to see graffiti that ruined the beautiful artwork that decorated the Topanga Women’s Circle bin at Pine Tree Circle. Artist Liz Dupuy and her friend, Francisco, a graffiti artist himself, are seen here putting the finishing touches on its restoration. After the painting is restored. “If you’ve seen the Topanga Women’s Circle (TWC) bin in Pine Tree Circle lately, it’s beautiful,” wrote Lin Ilsley of the TWC. “[Artist] Liz Dupuy and her friend, graffiti artist, Francisco, have finished their work and we are in the process of getting a sign made. It really does look lovely. Teresa Royer is painting a sealant coat over the artwork in case we suffer further damage in the future. Happy outcome to that unfortunate episode!” Topanga Women’s Circle is committed to making a difference to homeless families as they move into transitional housing. By enhancing their lives at a crucial time, they are given a sense of dignity and self-worth. (topangawomenscircle.org)
