The Sheriffs report for Topanga

The Sheriffs report for Topanga shows a 50% increase in crimes, especially burglaries, and cautions residents to lock their cars, homes and businesses. Carrie Carrier, President, and Alisa Land Hill, VP of The Topanga Town Council (TTC) wonder if this is a rising trend or an exception to Topanga’s usually low crime rate. The TTC meets monthly with representatives from Supervisor Lindsey Horvath’s office, Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriffs Department, CHP and the LA County Fire Department. This is an opportunity for residents to present their concerns to their local representatives and first responders in person. Like many of our essential services TTC is an all-volunteer organization begun by residents and established in collaboration with county agencies that serve our unincorporated area of the Santa Monica Mountains. Consider contributing your time to TTC or other volunteer opportunities. onetopanga.com.
