Topanga Elementary Charter School (TECS) is excited to announce its expanded Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program! We are thrilled to be part of California’s Universal Transitional Kindergarten through LAUSD’s participation in this program. TK is the first year of a two-year kindergarten program that uses a modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate. Senate Bill (SB) 858 establishes the intent that the TK curriculum be aligned to the California Preschool Learning Foundations and California Preschool Curriculum Frame- works developed by the California Department of Education.
