It was truly a “White Christmas� when about 20 tons of snow was blown onto the parking lot at Pine Tree Circle for the Annual Snow Night and dinner on Sunday, December19. To the community’s great delight, Nathan Daneshgar, owner of Pine Tree Circle, hosted the event and provided cold snow, hot food and a festive brass band to celebrate the season. Daneshgar has carried on the tradition started by former Pine Tree Circle owners Steve and Leslie Carlson more than 22 years ago. This season’s Snow Night was most welcome after the beloved event was canceled last year due to COVID-19. No sooner had the snow settled around 4 p.m. than the little kids began running, slipping and sliding, and throwing icy snowballs. The local shops stayed open throughout the evening while folks gathered around a giant fire circle to eat and warm their hands. Dr. Doug Roy and Topanga’s All-American Howling Coyote (Jingle Bells) Brass Band played cheerful holiday music from the balcony of Pine Tree Circle as many Topangans sang along! For dinner, folks lined up to enjoy piping hot pies from L.A. Pizzeria Mobile Woodfire Pizza (lapizzeriaco.com), and tasty dishes from Newrish Healthy Foods (newrish.com).
