The Canyon chronicle has learned that a number of mature protected live oak trees, part of the oak woodland in the upper area of Topanga Elementary Charter School (TECS) that is used for environmental programs, had been rooted out sometime in the spring of 2020. We followed the lead of parents Alisa Land Hill and husband, Kent Hill, who along with other outraged parents discovered the damage to see if we could find some answers, or at least a commitment to mitigation, but no one is talking.
