‘The Runner’ Premieres on April 7 at Film Festival
Local composer and now filmmaker, Matthew Ferraro is “pleased and humbled to announce my first venture as both a filmmaker and composer with the short film, The Runner, an inspiring film about a friend’s journey through mental health challenges. The film continues to get attention in the U.K. with the BBC and Channel 4, and now premieres in the U.S. I did not expect this!”

The Runner has been chosen to be one of the opening films for The American Documentary and Animation Film Festival in Palm Springs, April 7-10. This festival was voted one of the ten best in the country and is supported by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The Runner will be showing on April 7 at 12 noon, as part of program #3, at the Camelot Theatre, 2300 E Baristo Rd., Palm Springs, CA 92262.
Tickets are $10 to see the film series at that showing and may be purchased at (760) 325-6565; and https://filmfreeway.com/AmericanDocumentaryFilmFestivalandFilmFund/tickets.

“I really hope you can join me at the U.S. premiere at the Camelot Theatre in Palm Springs,” Ferraro said. “To all who have supported my journey over the years as a composer, Thank You!” (matthewferraromusic.com; mmfmusic01@gmail.com)
