On September 18, local photographer Brian Kaufman happened upon this motorcycle accident on Topanga Canyon Boulevard (State Highway 27) and gave The Canyon Chronicle permission to publish his photos. “My hope is to show how dangerous it is to speed on HWY 27,” Kaufman wrote. “I hike from my house along the highway to the trails every day to work on my nature photography. The speeding and passing I witness every morning between Cafe 27 and Topanga Living Cafe is incredible. Maybe these photos of the crash will get through to someone to slow down.”  The police report was not available at press time.
