Jenise Blanc and Joanna Gunst are moving on with the times. Joanna and I have been serving local Topanga businesses with our brochure, “Serving Topanga”, since the Spring of 2009. Every issue, four times a year for 12 years, has been an absolute joy for us. As a result of creating and producing this local business brochure, we have been made to feel so much more a part of this wonderful community. The only thing that is constant is change itself, and after all is said and done, we have decided that this latest issue of “Serving Topanga” will be our last. We regret to say good-bye to the project, but it is time for both of us to move on. Joanna and I, have been business partners on “Serving Topanga” for 12 years, as well as other ad projects with earlier Topanga magazines and ads for the Chamber of Commerce. At first, we created the brochure to promote our own businesses, Canyon Car Service and Imagine Website Design. As we reached out to the community, we added many new businesses into our brochure as well as businesses that have been a part of Topanga for a long time. We wanted to give everyone in the Canyon a chance to have great exposure, to network with each other, and give others a chance to know what everyone is up to. The “Serving Topanga” motto is “Shop Local” because that is what Topanga is about, but we were pleased to learn that “Serving Topanga” became such a success because it gave businesses the opportunity to let Topangans and neighboring communities use their services. Now is the time for “Serving Topanga” to say goodbye. There have been so many changes in the past 15 months but we are happy to end on a good note. We have made lots of friends through our many communications and most importantly, I have made a great friend of Joanna through our partnership. I have loved every minute of it!
