Cinder Finds A Home

The adorable story of Cinder, the kitten whose arrival we published in our “Thinking Out Loud” Halloween montage (“Halloween on Bonnell Drive,” The Canyon Chronicle, Nov. 11, 2022.) had some errors. I owe an apology to my all-forgiving neighbor, Cris Lilliedahl for misspelling his first name. The kitten was about two weeks old when she was found and it was Elena (not Ilini, the neighbor up the street) who first took the kitten as she had formula. It may not seem important enough to make a fuss about, but as journalists, if I’m to include myself as such, we are bound to certain cardinal rules, in this case, that of checking with your sources, then double- and triple-checking. Well, that part got lost in the shuffle of production and we want to make it right. We are well into the season when we acknowledge our blessings of family, friends and a scrappy kitten named Cinder who found her loving home. To read the corrected, slightly expanded version, visit thecanyonchronicle.com and select the November 11th edition in the Archive, page 3.
