Frank Rocco Memorial Fund
On September 10, our dear family friend, Frank Rocco died. Frank and his wife Marlene are beloved in our Topanga community as the original owners of Rocco›s in the Canyon Italian restaurant.
With Frank›s passing, many have asked, «How can we help?» Frank did not have life insurance and some of his expenses were not covered by medical insurance.
We have set up a GoFundMe campaign (https://gf.me/u/yz4xtr) to help pay for Frank’s funeral and some hospital costs that were not covered by insurance. In lieu of flowers or bringing meals, please support the family by donating to this fund as the family mourns the loss of their husband, father, and grandfather. Together, we can ease Marlene’s financial burden of medical and funeral costs. Donations in any amount are deeply appreciated.
Kristina Rocco-Levy will receive all donations, pay off the expenses, and any balance will be used for Marlene’s living expenses. Frank worked hard all his life feeding the masses, delivering pizzas, and making sure everyone was taken care of.
Now it’s time for us to take care of him and those he loved.
The family held a private service but welcomes the community to submit their stories and memories of him for a book of his life that they are preparing. Please send them to Michele Johnson (gmsjohnson2002@yahoo.com) or to Kristine Sloan (kristinesloan@icloud.com) who will pass them on to the family.
Patrons of Rocco’s restaurant took great delight watching Frank toss a pizza. The family would like to know if there are copies of that photo to replace the framed photo stolen from their restaurant in the Palisades. Photo courtesy of The Topanga Story.
