Entrada Road Neighborhood Little Free Library is a Winner

Looking for a good summer read? Welcome to LFL #131956, Established November 13, 2021. You can find us on the LFL Foundation Map at littlefreelibrary.org and opening the international map. Every month we change the selections for adults and kids and now, we have won a set of Simon and Schuster new publications for kids! “Once Upon a Tim” by Stuart Gibbs; “Angelina Ballerina — Best Big Sister Ever,” by Katharine Holabird; “Astrid Astronaut” by Rie Neal; “Sejal Sinha Battles Superstorms” by Maya Prasad; “Isla of Adventure” by Dela Costa; and “Ada Lace–Take Me to your Leader,” by Emily Calandrelli are the new additions to the LFL on Entrada. So stop by to find a late-summer read, curl up with a cool drink and new adventures. We have a wide selection of books that neighbors have donated, and as you know, Topangans have a wide range of interests. If you fill out the questionnaire, then we can have a better idea of what to stock in our little library. It has been too hot to have book signings and driveway events, but come fall, we are hoping temperatures will drop and we can gather in the garden for interesting activities in conjunction with our books. The Little Free Library Foundation, is an International non-profit with a vision to “build community, inspire readers, and expand book access” providing opportunities for reading to neighborhoods, underserved and rural communities. The books are free, with a motto, “take a book, leave a book,” to encourage a sharing of ideas and love of books and dreams within communities and beyond. They also have an Indigenous Library Initiative and Program that grant no-cost Little Free Library boxes full of books to Indigenous communities with limited book access. As many of you know, that’s close to my heart. Donations can be made to them on their website, or there may be donation envelopes in the adult side of our LFL. There is also a donation box for books under the LFL lounge bench, out of the weather so please add donated books there and maybe a note about you and your interests!
