Can’t wait for that new Starbucks! –Ryan Ulyate I wasn’t sure if this was part of the April Fools Day theme in a couple of other places in this issue, but personally, any time people try to reduce our beautifully interesting community into stereotypes, it really rubs me the wrong way. I’m genuinely not impressed with Miles Erickson’s version of “humor� (“18 Types of Topangans�) But, the drive-through Starbucks was quite over-the-top, and funny. If folks only read the headline or first sentence, they might flip out. It was obviously a joke by about sentence three. Thanks for the willingness to be playful. I’m an avid reader and not going anywhere. I genuinely adore the work that you do as a newspaper. Nobody needs a coffee shop there. I mean, it’s the library. I don’t get it. That’s where the kids go after school. And they just built that a few years ago. What in the hell’s the story? I’ll have a hundred people, or hundreds, saying, “This ain’t cool! We don’t need to have that!� This is the most ridiculous thing ever. I don’t get how this even became a thing. Starbucks?
